a. CIA World Factbook  - pull down list by country to see map, flag, and facts.
b. Around the World in 80 Clicks  - links to the continents on the right under Go Directly To, just place your cursor over the name of the continent. Once you are at the continent page, the countries are listed on your left to click.
c. Country at a Glance  - move your cursor around the world map to locate your country, click to see the current profile or use the pulldown.
d. Geographia  - find your destination, read all about it.
e. Info Please - Countries  - each country profile provides information on: geography, maps, flag, history, current ruler, area, population, capital, largest cities, languages, ethnicity/race, religion, literacy rate, economy, and government.
f. The Lonely Planet - Destinations  - begin by seeing where in the world your country is located, then below -- go to your destination to read an overview, when to visit and the weather, and much more interesting information.
